The Palestinian Non- Governmental Organizations Support the Palestinian Bid to Statehood

The undersigned Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations confirm their support for the Palestinian bid to statehood and the establishment of a Palestinian independent state on the 1967 borders and a just solution to the Palestinian refugee problem based on the UN resolution 194. They also confirm their rejection of all forms of foreign pressures and threats, especially the American threats to suspend the American financial aid to the Palestinian Authority and the Israeli threats to withhold the Palestinian taxes and customs.

Palestinian NGOs consider these threats as a political blackmail aimed at the exchange of the Palestinian national rights for financial aids. Palestinian NGOs call on the Arabic and Islamic countries, friends and supporters all over the world to stand against these pressures and threats and support the Palestinian right to establish an independent state and their steadfastness.

The international community is responsible for providing the Palestinians with political, legal, and financial support to enable them to continue their struggle to end the Israeli occupation, achieve freedom and independence. The NGOs stress the need to implement the Palestinian reconciliation agreement signed in May in Cairo which calls for forming a national unity government, a matter which strengthens the Palestinian political and diplomatic activity in the United Nations.

The undersigned NGOs also confirm their support for the protection of  public and individual liberties, human rights, and the promotion of democracy as the only means to build the democratic institution for the future independent Palestine. The Palestinian NGOs need the support of international solidarity groups to safeguard the Palestinian rights and work hard to isolate, boycott the Israeli occupation and pursue the Israeli war criminals.
